Following my inability to get a straight answer on the question “Do I need to defrag my Mac?” I decided to find out for myself. I did a bit of research and there was certainly two sides to the argument. Armed with my iMac and a newly purchased copy of iDefrag 1.6.1, I set out to find out if it was useful or pointless to defrag my Mac.

So the answer is NO!
