Must have features for apple iphone: poll
There are a lot of apple iphone rumors being blogged about with less than 48 days from Steve Jobs next “one more thing†or his one big thing that most apple fans hopes he gets right from day one. The iphone is probably the single most anticipated device the world or maybe us geeks is waiting to see, but for me to get an iphone there are some very important features the phone must have besides from being cool and playing plays mp3s.
Before I list my must have features let me tell you why apple’s iphone is a big deal to me. As a part-time consultant one of my markets is mobile consulting. I train, troubleshoot, or suggest which phone to purchase for individuals and small businesses. I support mostly smartphones, which include Palm based Treos, blackberry handhelds and windows mobile devices. I don’t know which market apple’s iphone will lean towards but I have read that there are going to be at least two different iphone models, and I pray that’s true. I can see apple having a nano type iphone for the cool kids and an enterprise iphone, a phone that I would purchase and recommend for other mac users.
Now that’s out the way here is my list of must have apple iphone features:
1. qwerty keyboard
(I prefer a separate qwerty keyboard and not the rumored touch screen version)
2. Email Support: .mac, imap, pop, ms exchange support, push email
3. 2 mega pixel camera or higher
4. video chat or video call feature on the front ( not a must have, but would be cool)
5. Touchscreen with optional stylus
6. Bluetooth with voice command features
7. Video support same quality or better than the current ipod video
8. Voice record, without having to buy a $50.00 i-mic or i-record add-on
9. Note taking
10. Basic apps, Able to open up word, text, excel, and any image file format
11. Synchronization with both mac and pc
